Why is your service only $4?
Because we believe in offering great hosting at a great value. The longer answer is that WebbleYou has very low overhead, so our only expenses are time and servers.
Do I need a domain name to use WebbleYou?
Yes, you will need to have a domain name (such as iamawebbleyoufan.net) in order to use our service. You can purchase a domain from any accredited registrar; we recommend GKG, since their prices are reasonable (less than $9US/year) and their control panel is intuitive.
Why don’t you include domains with your hosting package?
Plenty of companies do this, but it’s often a way to force you to stick with their service. We encourage our customers to remain in control of their hosting and choose the company that best serves their needs. Purchasing a domain and hosting service from separate companies is a good way to remain in control of your site.
If you are a WebbleYou customer, we want you to stick with us because you like our service, not because we own your domain and you can’t leave us. That’s why our hosting is month-to-month, so you’re never out any money if you decide to find a new host. We don’t think you’ll need to, but we want to give you the option as part of the guarantee of our quality service.
I don’t have a PayPal account. Can I still use WebbleYou?
Yes, but we’d prefer that you get a PayPal account so you don’t have to remember to pay us every month, as PayPal bills automatically unless you cancel your subscription. If PayPal is not an option at all, contact us and we can make alternate arrangements.
I can’t use PayPal because my account is messed up. How can I pay?
Contact us and we will work something out that is mutually agreeable. We accept major credit cards as well as Amazon.com and iTunes gift certificates. We’d appreciate it if you could pay for at least 3 months at a time when paying manually by credit card or sending gift certificates.
Do you offer subdomains?
At this time, we don’t. Sorry. Let us know if this is a feature you’d like to have.
Yes! WebbleYou offers unlimited subdomains with each hosting package.
When I look at the available themes under “Presentation,” only a handful of them have pictures. What’s wrong?
All of the themes we pre-install should be fully functional. However, the screenshot thumbnail feature is new to WP2.0, so older themes, while still fuctional, don’t have a screenshot to display on the Presentation page. You can select the theme and view your site to see how you like it. If you don’t like the theme, you can switch to another.
